Pilot training with our partner flight schools in the Philippines, South Africa, USA, Canada and Australia gives you the knowledge and skills you need to become a qualified pilot. Essential Requirements for Aspiring Airline Pilots: 

• Education: Complete +2 education with a focus on Science and Mathematics.
• Age: Minimum age of 17 and above is required for flight training.
• Medical Fitness: Must pass rigorous medical examinations.
• Eyesight: Good eyesight, with corrective lenses if necessary.

‍Flying hours for the Nepal CAAN license are determined by the CAAN. 

As per Personnel Licensing Requirements (4th Edition, published on 17 September, 2019)

In Nepal, applicants must have completed not less than 200 hours flight time as a pilot of airplanes, including:

1. not less than 100 hours as pilot-in-command;
2. not less than 20 hours of cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command and sole manipulator of the controls, including one flight of not less than 300 nautical miles in the course of which not less than two full stop landings at different places are made;
3. not less than 10 hours of flight solely by reference to instruments, of which not more than 5 hours may be completed in an instrument ground time; and
4. if the privileges of the license are to be exercised at night, not less than 5 hours flying by night, including not less than 5 take offs and 5 landings by night as pilot-in-command.

Flying hours for the EASA license are determined by the French DGAC 
Flying hours for the Australian license are determined by CASA. 

Flying hours for the USA license is determined by FAA.

Flying hours for the Philippines license is determined by CAAP.

Flying hours for the South African license is determined by SACAA. 

The program is legally structured to span from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 36 months, with an average completion time of around 16 months. The actual duration varies based on factors such as a student's performance in theoretical exams, weather conditions, and other variables. Consequently, some students may finish their training in less than 14 months, while others may take longer.

As per CAAN regulations, inclusion of Mathematics and Physics in your +2 education is compulsory for those intending to pursue a pilot training course. For the latest information and policies, feel free to get in touch with us.

No, it is not necessary. All the skills and knowledge required for the profession will be gained during the course.

However, it's important to note that some airlines may have more stringent requirements, such as age limitations or minimum flight hour criteria. These specifications vary among airlines and are contingent on the industry's current circumstances. Nonetheless, armed with the license obtained through our program, graduates should be well-equipped to pursue employment as a commercial pilot.

There is no upper age limit to become a commercial pilot. However, to serve as an airline pilot, the maximum age is set at 65 years. Beyond this age, alternative roles such as flight instruction are still viable. It is recommended to initiate training at the earliest opportunity to maximize the years available for working as a pilot and fully embracing this remarkable profession.

The major international body responsible for setting standards for pilot training and licensing is the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Depending on the course location, you will receive either EASA or FAA pilot license. Possessing either of these licenses allows students to apply for positions in any country. Holding these esteemed licenses opens up a world of opportunities for pilots.

For you to work in Nepal as a commercial pilot, you will need License Conversion: For e.g. if you’ve completed your pilot training from the Philippines and hold a (CAAP license), you will need to convert it to CAAN license. The specific requirements and procedures for converting a pilot license from the Philippines (CAAP license) or any other country to Nepal (CAAN license) may have changed, and it's crucial to check with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN)  for the most up-to-date information. Keep in mind that aviation regulations are subject to change, and it's essential to verify the latest requirements.

Stringent safety regulations dictate monthly and yearly limitations on flight hours. Moreover, individual companies institute their own operational procedures that pilots must adhere to. To start your CPL or ATPL course, you will need to be eligible to possess a Class 1 medical certificate. The Class 1 medical exam is a very thorough check-up that will assess any congenital chronical diseases or medical problems that can prevent you to safely operate as a professional pilot. These exams must be revalidated every year until the pilot is 40 years old and every 6 months after that. They can only be issued by approved medical institutes.

Certainly, all training is conducted in English, and this is attributed to two primary reasons. Firstly, English serves as the official language in aviation. Additionally, as all courses are delivered in English, students automatically attain ICAO Level 4 Aviation English proficiency. It's worth noting that certain partner training schools may require candidates to undergo English assessments, such as IELTS, and achieve a minimum score of 6 bands in each test.

Having tattoos is not an obstacle to enrolling in and successfully completing a pilot course. However, it's important to be aware that certain airlines may have restrictions on visible tattoos while in uniform. It is advisable to ensure that tattoos are not visible and are consistently covered.
